Call: Statuette of the Month

On 28 March 2026, Mu.ZEE opens a new exhibition at the Venetian Galleries:
Statuettes. Small Sculptures at Home
(28 March 2026 – 3 January 2027).

For the Salon within the exhibition, Mu.ZEE is looking for a Statuette of the Month for nine months.
Perhaps the one from your own home?

We are looking for small, portable sculptures and their owners who are willing to present them in the Salon during the exhibition. Each month, one statuette and its story will be highlighted.

Do you have a sculpture at home that feels spiritual, tactile or sensual?
A sculpture that holds an important place in your daily life?
Does it remind you of a person or an event? Or is it a decorative piece that fits perfectly into your interior?

In other words, we would love to know why this particular statuette means something to you.

Would you like to participate and help the Salon grow with different small sculptures from a domestic context?

Please submit your proposal including:

a short description of the statuette
a short introduction about yourself
your motivation for participating
a photo of the sculpture
Every story and proposal will be carefully considered.

For this exhibition, we do not provide valuations or conduct research into your sculpture. We focus on small sculptures created by artists (no personal creations or works by family members). All statuettes will be selected with care and trust.

Could your statuette take part?
Please check the following conditions:

The deadline for submitting your proposal is 1 November 2026
Your statuette measures max. 40 cm in height and 30 cm in width and depth
Only sculptures with proof of provenance and ownership are eligible
You are comfortable telling your story and presenting your statuette on camera (images may also be used on our social media channels)
You are willing to lend your statuette for one to nine months. It will be displayed in a secure place where visitors cannot touch it
We encourage submissions from people with diverse backgrounds, experiences and perspectives
You are available during the exhibition period for photo and video recordings
