OKAN – NT2: Look, say, share

Interactive language-focused tour for OKAN & NT2 in the exhibition “Statuettes. Small Sculptures at Home”

Art is a powerful language — even when words are still difficult.

During this tour, small sculptures become a starting point for learning new words, forming sentences and sharing stories.

The exhibition Statuettes. Small Sculptures at Home presents figurines that people place in their homes: on a cupboard, a table or in a display cabinet. This makes the exhibition especially suitable for OKAN and NT2 groups, as the artworks connect with everyday life, living spaces and personal memories.

What do we do during the tour?

The guide leads the group at a calm pace, using simple language and plenty of repetition. The focus is not on prior knowledge, but on observing, naming and speaking.

Look & name

What do you see? (person – animal – object)

Big / small – old / new – light / dark

Which colours and shapes do you recognise?

Home & identity

Would you place this sculpture in your home? Where?

Do you have a special object at home?

What did you bring from your country or culture?

Which familiar objects do you miss? Which new objects do you discover?

Body & imagination

Can you imitate the pose of the sculpture or draw it?

Does the sculpture look calm or strong? Happy or sad?

The guide encourages speaking, but without pressure. Listening, pointing and repeating are just as valuable.
