A guided visit for blind and visually impaired visitors
Guidance that brings art to life
A museum visit is not always self-evident for everyone. That is why we aim to make the exhibition Statuettes. Small Sculptures at Home as accessible as possible.
Are you blind or visually impaired? You are warmly welcome. By appointment, our guides will take you through the exhibition with calm, clear and descriptive explanations, adapted to your pace and needs.
In the exhibition Statuettes, visitors are allowed to touch a number of sculptures. This allows you to discover shapes, materials and details not only with your eyes, but also with your hands. The guide helps you find words for what you feel and experience, making art tangible and accessible.
Guided assistance is free of charge (you only pay the admission ticket – feel free to check which reductions or benefits may apply to you).
Visits take place by appointment during the museum’s opening hours. Please allow about one hour.
Send an email to Elise Vanhoecke or call +32 59 24 21 91.
Whether visiting a museum feels natural to you or more like a challenge,
we welcome you warmly and explore the exhibition together — step by step, artwork by artwork.
